Just Another Christmas Tag!

Today I thought it might be fun to do the Chirstmas Tag. I attempted it last year, but I have a few new answers that I would just love to share with you.

Here we go!

1) What’s Your Favourite Christmas Movie?

My favourite Christmas Movie has to be The Christmas Card. It’s a TV movie, and not very well known, but really encapsulates the spirit of Christmas into one well wrapped gift that constantly keeps on giving.

2) Do You Open Your Presents On Christmas Eve Or Christmas Morning?

This is not even a question, is it? Doesn’t everybody open their presents on Christmas morning? Wait, actually I have heard that some people open like one present on Christmas Eve, but not all of their presents surely.

3) Do You Have A Favourite Christmas Moment?

Look at Q5.

4) Favourite Festive Food?

Let’s be honest, it has to be Viennetta (Ice Cream). It is one of the greatest and most integral parts of the Christmas dining experience in my opinion. If you have never tried it, you really need to.

5) Favourite Christmas Gift?

I’ve always loved books, and every year I get at least one, but one in particular made me so happy that I couldn’t stop smiling. It was a signed copy of my favourite book, by my then favourite author, Jacqueline Wilson.

It’s a very special book to me, and I still keep it safe even now. It’s well loved and looked after.

Parting would be such sweet sorrow! I couldn’t do it.

6) Favourite Christmas Scent?

Easy. Anything Gingery!

7) Do You Have Any Christmas Eve Traditions?

A typical Christmas Eve for me involves watching Shrek the Third (not festive but whatever), whilst I put all of the presents under the tree. I don’t think it would be Christmas Eve without it now.

Oh and just before bed, we will have a cup of hot chocolate. Thankfully, my stepdad makes the greatest hot chocolate ever.

8) What Tops Your Tree?

Usually we put a star at the top, but this year with the real tree, we couldn’t quite fit one on, so really it’s just the tree that tops the tree.

9) As A Kid What Was The One (Crazy, Wild, Extravagant) Gift You Always Asked For But Never Received?

I don’t think I have ever asked for a really extravagant gift before. I have however asked for a lot of mundane, and maybe boring things. Oh the joys of being an awkward child and pre teen.

10) What’s The Best Part About Christmas For You?

I am a complete fanatic for wrapping presents, so much so that I started back in November, and have already finished. I wish I hadn’t begun so early now, but I was way too excited.

Apart from that, I would say all of my family sitting around the same table at the same time, for the first time all year. It’s a special moment, and obviously this Christmas it will be even more special, especially now that I have found myself in my faith.

So there are my answers. What would you have said? Tell me in the comments, or do the tag yourself. I would love to see your answers.

If you have already done the tag, put the link below, and I will check it out when I can!

Stay Awesome.

This Or That Book Tag

Hey Guys,

I was tagged before to do the This or That tag, but I can’t remember who it was who tagged me. If it was you, please tell me in the comments, so I can link to your blog. Sorry!

This tag took quite a bit of thought. It was a kind of like a clean version of would you rather, but revolving around my reading experience and books in general. It was very enjoyable actually.

This Or That:

Reading On The Sofa Or On The Bed

I will read anywhere if it means I get to read, but most of the time I am on my bed because it is just extremely convenient.

Male Main Character Or Female Main Character

I’m not sure this makes a difference and I know I have to pick one, but I really can’t. However, I think I have read more books with female main characters than I have male main characters.

Sweet Snacks Or Salty Snacks Whilst Reading

Oh… I don’t usually eat anything whilst I read, but I do drink a lot of tea, because it tastes so great, and it makes my reading experience much more comfortable and relaxing. There is nothing better than a cup of tea to make my reading time perfect.

Trilogies Or Quartets

I love both, but in this instance I would have to say trilogies, although some aren’t always carried on in the same way as the first book and that is not just my opinion.

First Person Or Third Person

I think most books are set in first person, so as a reader I am more used to that point of view. Also, I find it easier to get used to first person, because you feel closer to the story line because you are reading as the character and seeing things through their eyes.

Reading At Night Or In The Morning

For me, I prefer reading at night, because it helps me unwind before I go to bed, rather than lying there awake, but I must say, I will read at any time of the day because who doesn’t just want to pick up a book and be immersed into another world.

Libraries Or Bookstores

Buying books is great, and I do love it, but I have a soft spot for libraries. I will literally travel to find different libraries, to the point that I now have 4 library cards. My favourite isn’t the biggest, but it has the most amazing family feel to it, making people feel at home when they are there. You really feel part of the community, which is something not all bookstores can offer.

Books That Make You Laugh Or Make You Cry

Both! It doesn’t really matter. It just depends on how I am feeling at the time, or what I am in the mood for. I love to laugh, but I don’t mind getting emotional over a book either, because it clearly shows how much I am in love with it. Actually, if I love a book enough, I will probably get emotional when it’s over, even if it was funny. That’s just who I am. I get attached too easily.

Character Driven Story Or Plot Driven Story

Obviously both of these are important for a story, but I have to say plot. The characters have nothing to work with if the plot is weak. Weak plot means a lack of chance to develop the characters, making it harder for a character driven story anyway.

If you would like to do the tag, feel free to do it, and then tell me so that I can take a look at your answers as well.

The School Book Tag | Original

Hey Guys,

For some of you, you have gone back to school already, but for others, you are coming close to the dreaded ringing of the school bell. Scary. I know! When I used to go to an actual school, I was always like this…

…but then, if you add books into the equation (see what I did there), then I would be more like this…

I want to be as happy as The Doctor is in that gif, so I created a tag which will combine the two. YES!

  • Mention the creator of the tag.
  • Thank the person who nominated you.
  • Answer the following with the book that most fits the statement.
  • Nominate 3 others to do the tag.

Maths: A Book That Has Two Characters That Equal Perfection

I have mentioned this book before, but for the reasons I loved the book in general. This time, it is to tell you about the greatest OTP possible, well to me anyway, and that would be, Callum and Sephy. Oh I really love them, and they really make each other stronger, whilst at the same time breaking down stereotypical barriers.

Science: A Book That I Found Hard To Get Into

Before picking up this book, I had really high hopes, as I had heard good things about it. However, as I began reading, it soon became very obvious to me, that I could not get into it at all, so much so that I had to give up on it after a while of struggling to read it. It dealt with a difficult subject, that I think didn’t get talked about in the right way. Oh well! If you want to find out more, read my review here.

English: A Book That Should Be A Modern Classic

If I Stay is such a beautiful story and one that really had an impact on me, from even the first few pages. I read it with my mom, and both of us were so emotional once it was over. I don’t think I have come across a book quite like it before, and it has definitely raised the bar quite high for Young Adult literature. Gayle Forman really knew how to hit the heartstrings and make for such a thought provoking story.

P.E: A Book That I Raced To The Finish With

The moment I came up with this one, I knew straight away what I was going to pick. I remember picking up Spy Society, and within a few hours I was finished, and felt so much better after, as well as needing to read more from this series. I loved it so much! If you haven’t read Spy Society, check out my review here.

Music: A Book That Reminds You Of A Song

This book is part of a series, one you may not be aware of, because of being by an Indie author, but believe me when I say, it’s one of the best I have read. This book in particular reminds me of the song, A Thousand Years by Christina Perri, because of the relationship within the book, and the prophecy that bonds them together. If I played this song alongside reading a chapter of this book, it would be perfect.

The Social Media Blog Tag | Original Tag

Hey Guys,

Yesterday I wrote a post regarding my lack of plans for Valentines Day. Go figure!I also mentioned that it may be an idea to celebrate other forms of love, such as friendship andΒ  family. That gave me an idea. This tag!

We all use Social Media, and we all love certain Blogs and Bloggers, so why not combine the two? For each Social Media site, you have to put the Blog or Blogger that you think suits that category. It doesn’t matter if there is one which fits more than one category. This is about spreading the love, and hopefully, we may all find some new blogs to read from it.

I’m not sure if this tag has been done before, but I don’t think it would have been done like this.

  • Thank the person who tagged you.
  • Choose a Blog or Blogger per category and explain why you chose them.
  • Optional – Finish off the explanation with a Gif and/or a # which best describes them.
  • Tag others to do this (up to you how many).

The Categories:

Instagram – A Blog With A Design You Love:

Cristina (My Tiny Obsessions)

This blog has the most awesome design EVER!!! Everything from the layout, to the header image, are just perfect, and clearly well thought out. I genuinely wish I could do something like that.

Oh and by the way, Cristina loves Psych, which just so happens to be one of my favourite shows πŸ˜‰ Just another reason why she is amazing!

Facebook – A Blog With A Friendly Blogger:

Em (LyfWithEm)

What can I say about Em? She is one of the most helpful people I have come across since I began this blog, and always has such lovely things to say to everyone, especially when it comes to advice. She is great, and I’m pretty certain most people reading this know that.

Twitter – A Blogger Who Could Write Just 140 Characters And You Would Still Love Them:

Jia Wei (Film And Nuance)

I’m not sure if you guys know this blog, but if you do, great! This is a person who’s opinion I trust very much. I don’t know why, but if he decided to write a review which was 140 characters long, I would probably still trust it. Just saying.

YouTube – A Blog You Are Convinced You Are The Number 1 Fan Of:

Elm (JustElm)

Ok! I am putting this out there now, I am her number one fan πŸ˜‰ Sorry about that. Well, I would like to think so anyway. I mean, I was the one who noticed she hit 1000 followers, even before she did. That was such a wonderful thing to witness.

Elm is loved by everyone, that is the honest truth, and it doesn’t take a genius to tell why. She is amazing, and her posts are always clearly thought about.

Wooo! Go Elm!!!

Vine – A Blog You Haven’t Been Following For That Long, But You Still Obsess Over:

Hideaway Girl (HideawayGirl)

I know I have not been following this blog for long, but I know for sure that I love this blog so much!!! I swear, if you have not seen this blog yet, you need to, like right now. PLEASE!!!

Snapchat – The Blogger Who’s Updates You Can’t Wait For:

Elm (JustElm)

I always love it when I see the her new posts in the reader. It makes me so, so happy. It makes me want to dance like this…

Tumblr – A Blog Which Keeps You Entertained:

Regina (Diversion3000)

This girl here is such an awesome blogger. Her posts are so fun to read.

I don’t read many posts where I am likely to laugh, but then I come to this blog, I just can’t help it. She is the kind of person I need to have a secret handshake with haha! She is so Tumblr, and she doesn’t even know it! πŸ˜€

Pinterest – A Blog Which Is Full Of Creativity And Inspiration:

Asha (VintageSmiles)

Asha is the queen of creativity. Her posts are always topical, and talked about in a way which is different and fun. Not only that, but I always feel inspired when I have finished reading a post by her. Gees she is good!

This was a lot more difficult than I had anticipated that it would be. Oh well.

I love all of these people, so please go and check them out! Right now! Yes this very second!!!

I nominate everyone I mentioned in this post to do the Tag next.
