Making A Photo A Reality With PhotoWall!

PhotoWall

Hey Guys,

Do you know one thing I really love? Photography!

I love taking photos, no matter where I go, especially when it comes to nature or its surrounding scenery. But one thing I never seem to do with the photos I take, is frame them and put them up, mainly down to the fact that I never seem to have room or I just completely forget to do anything more with them.

But that has now changed thanks to an opportunity I recently received from a great company I have had the chance to deal with, aka Photowall.

If you are not aware of Photowall before this post, I will let you know a little more about them. They are a Swedish company who specialise in Canvas Prints and Wall Murals, allowing people to purchase either a ready made product or one which is personalised fully by you as the user.

I will be honest though, I had absolutely no idea about this Company beforehand and I was wondering fora while how they came to know about me because from what I have seen, they are a great company with a truly fantastic ethos and morals. I am so glad I was able to get the chance to work with them.

The Product:

Now onto the best part, I had the chance to choose a product from their site for the purpose of this post and to tell you all about it.

I think it is safe to say I was  a bit of a pain, due to work and all other things going on, the it took me to choose, was delayed…A LOT!

So sorry about that by they way. Hope we can still be friends!

When I did finally decide, I went with a Canvas of a photo I took just two years back. In fact, it is one of my favourite photos I have ever taken. The only problem being, I ended up going with Dimensions, which were slightly bigger than I had anticipated. I didn’t realise until it arrived.

Oh was I in for a surprise, but after begging my Step Dad to get it fixed up for me, I finally got to see the final product and you know what? I am so glad to say, it looks WAY better than I thought.

CUE EXTREMELY HAPPY CHLOE!

Just look at this beauty from the floor to my Bedroom Wall. It’s what I am going o tcall a #PerfectReveal!

This Is From Me To You! | Paperless Post Review

I'm a brunette(3)

Hey Guys,

Today I am going to be telling you about Paperless Post, a wonderful little Service which enables you to send Cards, Event Flyers and Invitations in a new and exciting way.

Sounds interesting? I personally think so, which is way I am looking forward to telling you more about it!

Untitled 2

First of all, I absolutely love anything like this. In fact, anything, and I mean anything, that involves being creative and sharing something which may be sentimental, is definitely what I am 100% here for. I have always been someone who enjoys finding different ways to surprise and make someone smile on their birthday and I think it is safe to say, I have found a way I can do that.

Possibly a high five moment?

Untitled

Anyway, a friend of mine, also called Chloe, but with the accent on the ‘e’ (as mentioned above), actually has her birthday coming up, incidentally a day before mine, making this the perfect time to find and try this Service out.

I know, I couldn’t have timed that better myself!

I have to say though, I was happily surprised to see a great variety of card choices available, although it made it slightly difficult to pick the right one. It’s not that Chloe is picky, but rather that to me it has always mattered about the person and what they will like so it’s more me being pedantic more than anything.

I guess I was just over thinking it more than I should. Nothing out of the usual there!

Once I had actually managed to choose the right card, then came the easier part, personalising it.

I decided to stick to a simple but sophisticated design which was slightly ruined by my try at being ‘funny’ or ‘witty’ with the way I said Happy Birthday. I couldn’t just be normal, could I?

Now, with this Service, you don’t just choose the card design. Oh no! You have control over everything, the entire design process is down to you, which I think works really well and allows it to be truly and completely from you to the person you are sending the card to.

If I am honest, that is what it should be about.

All that’s left for me to do now, is schedule it to be sent out at the right time, which has been the only real problem I have faced thus far within the process. Apart from that, it is definitely worth the effort.

Now it’s your turn. If you’d like to try out Paperless Post, take a look at their Website now, just click the link below.

Title: Paper Town

Author: John Green

Publisher: Bloomsbury

Quentin has always loved Margo Roth Spiegelman, for Margo (and her adventures) are the stuff of legend at their high school. So when she one day climbs through his window and summons him on an all-night road trip of revenge he cannot help but follow.

But the next day Margo doesn’t come to school and a week later she is still missing. Q soon learns that there are clues in her disappearance . . . and they are for him. But as he gets deeper into the mystery – culminating in another awesome road trip across America – he becomes less sure of who and what he is looking for.

Paper Towns is the second book by John Green that I had the pleasure to read and although many people will probably say that The Fault In Our Stars is the best of John Green’s books, I believe it to be Paper Towns. It hooks you in within the first few pages, and holds onto you right until the end, whilst managing to prove just how much of a literary genius Green is. For those who don’t know, that is a lot. He is setting the bar high!

Ok, when I first went into this I just assumed it was going to be another sappy little love story where someone feels brokenhearted, but continues to yearn for the other. Although, it has elements of this, that isn’t all Paper Towns is. No! Not at all! This story is more about searching for something more and finding a truth you were missing, as well as the idea of being lost symbolizing how we all feel at some point and just knowing how to deal with it. Deep, right?

There were the elements of adventure and mystery which were interwoven amazingly within the plot and made this love story so different. There is just a sense of excitement that you don’t get in many other books of this caliber or genre.

Quentin is by far one of the most kindhearted characters I have come across, and starts off  as very vulnerable, but as the book quickly progresses through, you see him become much stronger in himself and way more attuned to the different situations he and the other characters are facing. It is definitely a wonderful character development.

Margo on the other hand, was a character I couldn’t fully identify with in the book, but ended up liking more in the movie. With the book, She seemed a little bit too much like two dimensional character to me, not developed quite enough, with too many flaws to her persona, and that really seemed to aggravate me at times as I saw it as a hindrance to the over all story line as well as to Quentin as a character. I am quite torn really.

Overall though, it is a great read, with some amazing moments which make it quite the journey of self discovery, and an awesome coming of age story.  I just really need John Green to write more books! ASAP! Please.

Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell | Book Review

17322949Title: Eleanor And Park

Author: Rainbow Rowell

Publisher: Orion

‘Eleanor is the new girl in town, and with her chaotic family life, her mismatched clothes and unruly red hair, she couldn’t stick out more if she tried.

Park is the boy at the back of the bus. Black T-shirts, headphones, head in a book – he thinks he’s made himself invisible. But not to Eleanor… never to Eleanor.

Slowly, steadily, through late-night conversations and an ever-growing stack of mix tapes, Eleanor and Park fall for each other. They fall in love the way you do the first time, when you’re young, and you feel as if you have nothing and everything to lose.’

Two words for you, amazingly beautiful! In fact, probably one of the best books I have read in the last few years. Oh and that cover. Isn’t it just absolutely stunning?

Rowell has such a unique style of writing which compliments the voices of the main characters, Eleanor and park, in such a way that you feel so involved with the story that is being built around them. It allows for both of their personalities to shine, and characteristics to be developed so well throughout the course of the book.

She manages to bring to life a new kind of love story, one which personally I think is more relatable than what some other books, as well as movies and TV have done in the past. Falling in love doesn’t consist of accidentally bumping into someone a bookstore perhaps, and knowing straight away that they are the one for you. NO! Just no! Real love takes time and effort to build into what it is. In this case it goes from hate to friendship, and then into love.

Something I love is that they are not exactly the archetypal romantic duo that you would usually see. In fact, they seem to be on the completely opposite ends of the spectrum with who they are. They are so imperfect, that it just seems to work. If these are the characters Rowell creates for this, then what are her other characters from other books like? I can’t wait to find out, especially now that I am getting excited to read Fangirl, the book that has been on my shelf for quite some time now. Bring it on!

The only problem I really had with this, was actually getting into the story in the first place. The beginning in particular was so slow to get through, and dragged, that I found it difficult to get into. If you have read it, you may know what I am talking about, but you will also be able to agree that once you do get into it, it is AMAZING!
