Little Gestures Can Make A HUGE Difference!

Less

I had absolutely no idea what to write about, but my brother just did something unbelievably kind which he didn’t have to do, but it has really changed my mood, and helped inspire me and this post.

He bought me an ice cream, which may not seem like such a big deal, but I imagine to him it did, as he spent his own money to do something for me. Usually he wouldn’t do this, because of being stubborn and having our differences, but then again what siblings don’t? So actually, it really shows that I was actually thought about for once.

Sorry Josh. It’s the truth.

It is things like this, the smaller gestures in life that really shows someone what matters, as well as who matters. You don’t have to spend so much money on them, as long as what you do for them, is specific to them, and manages to lift their spirits because you know it is something they will actually like, rather than doing something for the hell of it without thinking of the person.

I know some people who give absolutely nothing, but expect a lot in return, and that is not how life should be, or how your relationship with someone should be.

People shouldn’t give to receive, they should give to make others happy. This is something that should just come naturally, especially it it’s someone you claim to care for. At the same time however, you do want to be shown that you matter to them also. I am not talking about with material things, but time, and effort put into friendships. Is that too much to ask?

Little gestures make a big difference, and only those who truly love and care about you, will know what to do to make you happy, to make you smile, because you deserve it.

Walking On The ‘Wild’ Side

stroll

Hey Guys,

The beginning of today was not as great as I would have hoped. I was in a terrible state which really made us late, and lead to me shouting my head off, leaving both me and my parents emotionally drained. I felt like such a terrible person, because I never intended for that to happen. In fact that was what the argument was about, me hating myself so much that I don’t just bring myself down, but also my parents also. I’m truly hurting inside at the moment, more than I think I have done in a while, and I know my parents want to help, but part of me thinks people still don’t fully understand how I feel.

Anyway, today we went to a little farm nearby to make up for the fact that we were running late. Sorry about that! Thankfully, it is a lovely place to just have a walk around, with some amazing views as you go, which helped.

Our walk took us from the farm itself, over a bridge, to standing lakeside, which I have to say when you look across it, had one of the best views I have seen in an area near where I live. I was seriously shocked myself, but it was definitely a good shock.

I just love animals, maybe a bit too much. They are just so fun, and very unpredictable, especially Swans which I have heard have quite a bad temperament, but I am happy to report not one of them charged me. Phew!

In the shop on the way out, I came across these signs that were to be sold and thought that it would be a good idea to share them with you, as well looking at them myself.

Not the best of days for me, but I will get better as time goes on. I even have a new book which deals with the subject of coping with depression, and what really helps. I will give it a read and will tell you what I think of it on one of my ‘Book Club Tuesday’s’. I imagine that could be of some help to some people reading this, as well as myself, so we will have to see what happens.

See you again soon!

Who Wants To Live At This Castle? | Stroll On Sunday

stroll

Hey Guys,

Welcome to another Stroll on Sunday, and also obviously Easter Sunday, so firstly Happy Easter my friends.

Today we visited Croft Castle, a building that has been standing on the location since the 11th Century, and owned primarily by the Croft family. I wouldn’t have guessed!

One of the rooms in the Castle is dedicated to some of the people who lived near by, who died during the first world war, including one of the Croft family themselves. There were stories about all of these different people, and was the perfect way to honor and remember them.

Oh and it was raining and hailing all day long! The only time it didn’t was when I was inside. I was not impressed!

Outside The Castle:

The space outside is absolutely gorgeous and features a Church which is situated right next to the Castle, and the huge piece of land they call a garden.

Inside The Castle:

The decor inside the Castle wasn’t what you would expect, and seemed very personal to the family, and very unique compared to other Castles I have seen before. It seemed more like what you would see in a Manor house.

Easter Egg Hunt + Blogging Survey | Stroll On Sunday

stroll

Hey Guys,

Today we went to Attingham Park Estate, which is home to the Berwick family, and was originally part of 4000 acres of land, but in the 1800s, extended to 8000 acres. That is a lot!

The park itself allows for a few different walks, varying in length, including the one we went on today which we did for the Easter Egg Hunt. It is mainly for younger children, but me and my mom just like acting like big kids and having a bit of fun, so we did it anyway, and won a chocolate bunny at the end. Yay!

In The Bookshop:

I loved the bookshop! You can go to any National Trust house, and there will most likely be a second hand bookshop on site. This one was by far my favourite as I found the final two books in a series I love, and also the 2015 edition of Morgan Matson’s, Second Chance Summer!

Before you go, could you check out the following survey, and fill it in. I am trying to collect views on my blog, and figure out what people do like, and what they don’t so that I can improve this blog for you in the near future.
