5 Stages Of A Reading Slump | Book Club Tuesday

Hey Guys,

If like me you love to read, then you hate the moment when you can’t get yourself to read, although you really want to. This my friends is called a reading slump, and it has 5 stages to its evil.

Getting into the slump:

One of the worst parts in a readers life is the moment when you hit the beginning of the reading slump. It literally kills you inside!

Beginning To Get Frustrated:

When you know that you have hit that moment, all you want to do is scream, whether that is internally or out loud for everyone to hear. You will get frustrated, especially if you see someone reading when you know you can’t. That is definitely annoying and you will get book envy.

I am with you there Paul Rudd! It does suck!

Trying To Pick Up A Book When You Know You Can’t:

You feel as though you should at least give picking up a book a go, but it is like it has some kind of force field around it because you just can’t do it, or if you do manage to overcome its power, you put it back down straight away.

There Is No Other Option But To Cry:

When you put that book right back down, you will probably begin to feel yourself well up. Yeah! It really is that bad. You may cry!

Oh and on a side note, does it annoy anyone that although Zac Efron is crying here, he still manages to look perfect?

Then The Best Thing Happens…You Want To Read Again:

Stage 5 is the best part, it is a time of happiness and where you want to just dance awkwardly just like Chandler and Joey are doing below. This is because you can now read again, and life is back to normal. Thank God!
